SESSION DESCRIPTION
This workshop offered by AFP Lowcountry and the Winkler Group will investigate strategies for effective donor-centric communications and impact reports. We'll take a look at some donor communication fails as well as some successes to highlight what works and what doesn't.
The workshop is taught by Jessica Browning, Winkler Group Principal and Executive Vice President.
Jessica Browning brings more than 25 years of nonprofit experience to Winkler Group clients. She serves on the leadership team that oversees all firm projects to ensure their successful progression.
Jessica’s area of expertise is donor communications; she has written case statements and fundraising materials for more than 100 schools, universities, churches, and nonprofit organizations. Among other awards, her writing has received the CASE Circle of Excellence award.
The most recent capital campaign she led exceeded its original goal by 60%. Prior to joining the Winkler Group, Jessica helped lead a $34 million capital campaign through strategic stewardship and cultivation efforts. A former federal grant reviewer, her grant and sponsorship proposals have secured more than $1 million in private, state, and federal grants for Winkler Group clients.
Jessica received a B.A. from Duke University as well as an M.A. and M.B.A. from the College of William and Mary. She served on Giving USA’s National Editorial Review Board and as a featured speaker at the CASE Campaigns Workshop. She serves on the boards of One80 Place in Charleston and the Academic Magnet Foundation.
