This educational session is designed for fundraisers who are eager to deepen their understanding of the power of affinity groups. Featuring insights from members of the Small Shops, Annual Fund, and the new Young Professionals Affinity Groups of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) South Carolina Lowcountry Chapter, this panel discussion will explore how these groups provide invaluable support, resources, and strategies for fundraisers at all levels in their career.
Learn how affinity groups provide a space for collaboration, resource-sharing, and professional development tailored to specific challenges, such as limited staff and resources (Small Shops) or high-volume, relationship-driven fundraising (Annual Funds). Hear real-world examples of how members have tackled common challenges in their respective fundraising areas, such as donor retention, time management, and campaign planning. Build relationships with peers who share similar professional goals and challenges, creating opportunities for mentorship, resource-sharing, and ongoing collaboration.
