About the Session:
Nonprofit leaders don’t burn out because they care too little, they burn out because they care deeply without sustainable support. When mission demands outpace people, systems, and capacity, compassion fatigue quietly takes hold.

This session explores the hidden cost of emotional labor in fundraising through the lens of the capacity gap. Grounded in Philanthrope Reimagined’s approach to sustainable leadership, participants will gain language to name what they’re experiencing, understand why burnout is often systemic (not personal), and leave with practical tools to protect their energy without losing purpose.

After the hour-long session, we invite you to stay for a 30-minute decompression time at the shelter, where you can unwind, reconnect with joy, and spend time with the puppies.

Date: Wednesday, February 4
Location: Charleston Animal Society | 2455 Remount Road
Time: 12:30 - 2:00p (Programming - 12:30 - 1:30, Puppy Decompression Play Time - 1:30 - 2:00)
Speaker: Megan Draper, Philanthrope Reimagined

------------------

Megan Draper is the Founder & CEO of Philanthrope Reimagined, a fundraising strategist, licensed coach, and unapologetic Cheerleader for Good. She partners with nonprofit and ministry leaders to help good people do good things with greater clarity, healthier rhythms, and sustainable impact.

With more than 20 years of executive advancement experience, including roles at The Madeira School and the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Megan brings both strategic depth and lived understanding of the pressures nonprofit leaders face. In 2021, she founded Philanthrope Reimagined to help organizations move from chaos to clarity through consulting, coaching, and community. She is also the creator of the Vision C.A.N.V.A.S., a practical framework that helps leaders turn inspiration into implementation without losing heart.

Outside of work, she’s a wife and mom who runs on faith, family, and probably too much Diet Coke and truly believes generosity isn’t just something we give; it’s something we live.
