Friday, May 1, 2026
Trident United Way 6296 Rivers Ave 2nd Floor North Charleston, SC 29406

Updated! The March 19 session has been rescheduled for May 5!

Finding your next fundraising role means navigating both relationships and AI. Two executive search consultants, Nancy Appel and Erin Hall, will break down the job search—searching, applying, interviewing, and negotiating—while exploring how AI can be a helpful tool without losing your authenticity.

They’ll talk about how to research organizations, craft compelling materials, and stay authentic in a process that is sometimes driven by AI. Learn what works (and what really doesn’t) and hear some real-world examples.

Whether you’re exploring your next role or just keeping an eye on opportunities, you’ll leave with practical tips you can use right away.

Erin Hall
Erin Hall served two years at Spelman Johnson as their nonprofit practice leader and search consultant following two decades in leadership of health and human services nonprofits. Formerly, Erin served as the chief development officer for Hopeful Horizons in Beaufort, South Carolina. Hopeful Horizons is a children’s advocacy, domestic violence and sexual assault services center.

Prior to joining Hopeful Horizons, Erin served as chief executive officer of the Palmetto Association for Children and Families (PAFCAF) in Columbia, South Carolina. PAFCAF is a statewide membership association of approximately 50 organizations providing out-of-home care and community-based prevention services to foster children in South Carolina.

She came to the CEO role at PAFCAF after serving six years as the executive director of Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter, where she provided leadership for a residential home for foster children and homeless teens. At Palmetto Place she undertook a feasibility study and two-year capital campaign for renovation of the existing shelter home and the purchase of second location for the organization.
